Don't make the mistake of comparing this stand with one advertised for 12-18in dolls. It's made for thin dolls and 18inch is the top of its range so it doesn't work well for American Girls. They fall over too much.

Nice for displaying your doll collection. This stand #2701 has a 4.5 inch base that so it works for most chubbier dolls from 12 to 20 inches tall. Also fits Baby Born and Bitty Baby dolls! Measure other dolls carefully; you may want to put the metal part under arms or around a neck.

7.25 inches tall for upright portion, painted white (measurement includes base). 7.5" wire portion extends easily up-to another 5 inches height for maximum total usable height of about 13 inches, with a larger waist circle for chubbier dolls, dipped in soft white. You may need to spread your doll's legs a little if you use this stand for a larger doll!

Spread your taller doll's legs to keep her standing upright while in the stand. A great stand for 18 inch American Girls but, honestly, our larger stand is even better for taller dolls. Shipping is a lot more expensive for them so it's your call.

Did you know it is best to put the waist piece on your doll--outside or under her clothes, it's up to you--before you slide it into the upright white base? Yup! It makes it a LOT easier! Back when we still had our walk-in store, I can't tell you how many people complained about how difficult doll stands were to use. They were elated to learn this method!
