ST. LUCIA'S DAY GOWN--St. Lucia's Day is a very special family celebration marking the beginning of the Christmas season (along with Advent). On the longest night of the year, winter solstice or St. Lucia's Day, the youngest girl in the family enters the room with a crown of candles, singing traditional St. Lucia's songs, with a tray of special buns for the family.
This is a traditional dress for Kirsten for the occasion. Included are:
- Long white twill dress with trim around the sleeves and hem and a long red sash to tie around the waist. We received defective dresses from the supplier. The red ribbon faded onto the white dress. We removed the ribbon and washed them without much success. We only ended up with a few perfectly white dresses. There may be a tiny bit of pink still on the front of the dress you receive but the new ribbon bow covers it. They are wrinkled because we don't have a small-enough iron for finished sleeves. Steam may work perfectly but it's a lot easier for you to steam one than for us to steam a pile of them. They'd just get wrinkled again when packaged so we are putting a few out for anyone who is willing to iron the washed dress. We are supplying a replacement ribbon--in a separate bag, of course!

Returns will not be accepted for these dresses. We do have completely new dresses on order from a different supplier.
You can add our Best Quality St. Lucia's Wreath to go with this adorable set. (The other one I see out there is metal. Thick. Not sure how you would attach it. We have a hard time keeping ours in stock. We also try to have the tray in stock (Betsy's own creation--said by many to be better than what originally came for Kirsten from PC--you may be lucky enough to find one!) You may also want to add socks, shoes or slippers at Lovvbugg!
