REPRO SAMANTHA SPRING PARTY DRESS AND BOW SET-- Lovvbugg's new reproductions are made without elastic whenever possible because the latex dies, requiring an expensive repair in the future. This dress is another example of Lovvbugg raising the bar on quality you can expect for your new doll clothes! Worth every penny! The fabric was made specially for us. The dress was made specially to fit the thicker-waisted older dolls. Lovely trim and ribbon. Great attention to the details throughout! Worth every penny! Here's what's included:
  • At the beginning of the 20th Century, the pleated, blouson drop-waist dress was popular for children. This dress gets its shape from them. The front has two pleats on either side of center (my photographer didn't iron the dress before taking the picture--I'll get a better picture someday-- you can iron it when you receive your dress), sewn down to the waist level and held in place with the belt (closes with snap). There are two more pleats on either side in back, too. The collar extends down and crosses, held in place with its white button. The inset neck piece is pink satin and the piping is also pink satin. Our workshop actually used white snaps after I approved the sample with normal white buttons. Once I had boxes and boxes full of them with snaps it was too late to do anything about it. So we have white snap buttons!
  • Big Double Satin Hairbow--made with wide ribbon. I have explained before about the large bows for girls' hair in the Victorian era. The idea was to put a big gifty bow because the child was a gift. Clip it into her hair with its sturdy metal clip. The bow flattens in the package but you can coax it back into a pretty shape once you receive it.
Samantha is wearing our white mary janes with roses across the toe, a reference to the rosebuds pattern of the dress. We have so many, many shoe styles. You can choose whatever style and color you like best! We have oodles of doll shoes!
