HOLLAND DUTCH DELFT DRESS--Did you know that the word ''Holland'' is really just meant to describe the north-western two provinces of the Nederlands? I have collected certain Dutch items for many years, spent most of a summer there once, and still didn't ever know it. The term 'Holland' just caught on in other parts of the world and stuck. Now you know!

This pretty dress does not really correspond to a specific province. It reminds us of the pretty blue designs on items made in the world-famous city of Delft. It uses several common themes. Here's what comes to you with this purchase:

  • Dress with navy bodice and pretty trim used to frame what looks like a square collar. It frames a red ribbon rose. The skirt is made of a dutch-y looking blue-on-white print with navy strip at the bottom. There is white lace at the sleeves edges,
  • The cone shaped cap is trimmed with the same white lace,
  • That piece that looks like a shawl in the picture is really meant to tie around her waist. Use it however you like!
Add some Dutch clogs with windmills on them at Lovvbugg! They are one of the cutest items in the whole store!
