BAKING BOWL / CANISTER SET-- Your doll will be all set up with this baking set! You will receive:
  • Fluted Porcelain batter bowl, 3-1/8 inches diameter x 1-1/2 inches tall
  • Glass canister that sits on its side--just like a real baker's bowl! 2-1/8 inches tall x 2-1/8 inches diameter
  • Wooden Spoon about 3 inches long
  • Wood-and-metal old-fashioned whisk
Just add the fun! Play Dough will make a nice medium. Do not use the whisk with real food. Be sure to clean your kitchen after the 'meal,' just like Mother does! Even that part is fun--especially if you make or receive some kitchen furniture.

MEMORIES: When Betsy was a little girl her favorite book was titled, "Mud Pies and Other Recipes." It was partly why she learned to read very early. (Nana also read the original Oz books to her, running her finger under the words as she read.) Mud Pied and Other Recipes told how to make all sorts of things (not really edible, of course) for our doll friends to eat, like salads using pine needles and berries from the yard. There was a cozy place under a huge fig tree where she played for hours and hours with her play kitchen items. We still have the wonderful plastic breakfront with special drawers and loads of dishes and bakeware. Our little girls played with it, too, when they were little. What fantastic memories!
